FHTC Programs
Flint Hills Technical College offers 15 programs of study along with a variety of short-term training courses and continuing education courses. Classes are small with an average 15 to 1, student to faculty ratio. You get to know your instructors and they'll get to know you. You are not just a number.
Students at FHTC enjoy the hands-on experience--about 30 percent of your classes will be theory/lecture and about 70% will be in the lab environment. You get to learn and practice on a daily basis in classes what you'll be doing on the job!
Our faculty also work closely with businesses and industries throughout the region. Each program of study at FHTC has a Program Advisory Committee comprised of business and industry representatives. These committee members help guide the curriculum of the programs and help ensure that what you're learning at FHTC and the type of equipment you will be trained on is very similar to what you'll experience in the workforce.
The strong connection our faculty have with businesses and industries equates to great job placement for students. Historically, about 93% of our graduates that were contacted for follow-up are employed after graduation or continuing their education.
