Students will become knowledgeable of the theory and practical aspects of legal assisting including an overview of legal assistant functions in the law office, how laws are made, the federal and state court systems, criminal and civil laws, interviewing and investigation skills, law office administration and information management, and an overview of selected law practice specialties.
