BUS 127 - Business Accounting

 Students will learn to process accounts in service and merchandising industries by applying concepts and theory to worksheets, financial statements, adjusting entries, closing entries and by using multiple journals, and processing payroll and payroll taxes for employee or employer. Students learn skills and understanding that require creative and critical thinking to problem solve. Students also learn through communication activities to better understand the accounting process and use the GAAP rules that apply to ethical decisions. Students learn through manual paper and pencil by recording transactions and preparing proper financial reports, will use Excel to solve problems, and use the computer to enter general ledger transactions and processing of financial reports.
