CPD 229 - C++ Programming

CPD 229 is designed as an introduction programming course.  Students will learn programming concepts and learn how to plan and create well-structured programs.  They will be able to write programs using the sequence, selection, and repetition structures, as well as how to create and manipulate sequential access files, structs, classes, strings, conditional execution, data types, functions and arrays.  C++ teaches programming concepts using a task-driven, rather than a command-driven, approach.  Students will use realistic cases in creating the programs that will require them to demonstrate program design, problem solve, and debug using effective programming techniques that they will likely encounter in the programming job market. The prerequisite for this course is CPD 122.
