NET 117 - Network Concepts

Students will examine the essentials of computer networking by comparing and contrasting industry-standard network models, topologies, cabling, protocols, and architectures.  They will design and construct computer networks using these models, topologies, cabling, protocols, and architectures.  Students will also analyze common preventive maintenance and security practices used in modern networks.  Upon completion of the course students will be prepared to take the Network+ certification exam. The prerequisites for this course are NET 115 & NET 116.
