Emergency Dispatcher
Mission:
EMT-B students will learn extrication, operation of emergency vehicles, basic anatomy, basic assessment of injury or illness, triage, care for specific injuries and illnesses, environmental emergencies, childbirth and transport of the patient.
EMT-I students will gain knowledge about the basic life support skills as well as advanced live support procedures such as assessment, IV fluid administration, advanced airway procedures, defibrillation, trauma management, and a limited number of medications given in medial emergencies.

Prerequisites
Admission requirements for the Emergency Dispatcher program include:
- high school diploma or equivalent
- Asset test scores of 37 in each category
- Two positive work-related references
- A successful criminal background check
Instruction
Instruction takes place in the classroom and hands-on practice labs. Once successfully mastered, students will use their skills in ambulance and emergency room internships.
