In Health Occupations II students explore legal and ethical issues pertaining to the U.S. healthcare system and gain an understanding of the importance of confidentiality and patient documentation. Career planning for seeking a career in healthcare is included to assist students in their job search. Hands-on experience is obtained through clinical shadowing experiences with healthcare providers. Students can select from a variety of participating health care professionals and spend time in their facilities to receive direct exposure to the work environment.
