Courses

The Associate of Applied Science degree, with a major in Industrial Engineering Technology, is a four-semester program that contains technical, advanced technical and general education courses. Graduates will have the knowledge and skills needed to install, service and repair machines and equipment common to all industries. Students will have the opportunity to achieve the following certifications: HVAC & R, Electrical Section 608 Clean Air Act (EPA), Boiler Operation and Controls, Siemens Energy and Automation, and Siemens Advanced PLC (35 Certifications proctored in IET)

The Industrial Engineering Technology certificate program, which contains technical education courses, is two semesters in length. Graduates will possess the knowledge and skills needed to install, service and repair machines and equipment common to all industries. A program advisory committee, composed of industrial maintenance representatives, annually updates industry expectations. Graduates may opt for immediate employment or transfer their certificate credits to the Industrial Engineering Technology AAS degree program and continue their education. Students will have the opportunity to achieve the following certifications: HVAC & R, Electrical Section 608 Clean Air Act (EPA), Boiler Operation and Controls, and Siemens Energy and Automation.

  • Demonstrates proficiency of workplace skills & safety
  • Demonstrates proficiency in PLC programming & operations
  • Understand OSHA requirements for industrial facilities
  • Applies NEC regulations to residential wiring
  • Demonstrates proficiency of heating & cooling essentials
  • Obtains gainful employment in the field of Industrial Maintenance
  • Demonstrates proficiency in industrial & motor control operations
  • Obtains necessary certifications (35)
