Courses

The Associate of Applied Science degree, with a major in Machine Tool Technology, is a four-semester program that contains technical, advanced technical and general education courses. The advanced technical portion of this course is taught in the summer. Graduates will possess the knowledge and skills needed to program, tool and operate CNC (Computer Numerically Controlled) mills and lathes. Graduates will also have the skills needed to draw and program in Mastercam. The Machine Tool Technology program advisory committee, composed of representatives from the manufacturing field, annually updates machining skills needed for immediate and successful employment.

 The Machine Tool Technology diploma program, which contains technical education courses is two semesters in length. Graduates will possess the knowledge and skills needed to program, tool and operate CNC (Computer Numerically Controlled) mills and lathes.
