Students will install, configure, manage, and troubleshoot Microsoft SQL Server database service software on a Windows server. They will examine and perform common tasks utilized by network administrators in the management of files, objects, users, and queries in a SQL database. Students will also analyze and demonstrate basic preventive maintenance and security practices in this software. Upon completion of the course students will be prepared to take a Microsoft SQL Server certification exam. If a student passes the certification exams associated with the first three of the five Microsoft courses, and one of the last two, they will become a Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA).
