The Mission of the Flint Hills Technical College Foundation is to assist students through scholarships and to support the mission of the college by enhancing educational opportunities that lead to employment and continuous learning.
Was organized in 1994 to aid, benefit and support the development and welfare of the college and the education and welfare of its students, faculty and alumni.
Initial funds came from a sizeable endowment gift and from a scholarship program established by faculty, students, and advisory committee members to recognize students for leadership and academic excellence.
The Foundation plays a very important role in supporting the college vision of empowering graduates to compete successfully in the high tech global workplace.
The Foundation provides resources for scholarships and awards to deserving students at FHTC. These scholarships are a means to recruit and retain quality students.
Endowed funds can be established with the Foundation that designates funds which will grow and provide support into perpetuity.
Board of Directors membership includes individuals who represent business and industry within the community served by the college who have vested interest in quality technical education. Membership also includes representatives from the college.
The Executive Director of Advancement coordinates the efforts to increase awareness of the mission and service of the Foundation.
As a 501 (c)(3) charitable corporation, gifts to FHTC Foundation are tax-deductible.
