Computer Program Design

Mission:

Students successfully completing the Computer Program Design & Development’s curriculum will recognize and identify real-life problems and apply object-oriented design principles to develop appropriate solutions.  These solutions will be developed and applied throughout the use of current programming languages and productivity software.  The students will also utilize and apply their knowledge of computer hardware for the purpose of troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining and supporting the appropriate technology.  Students will apply this knowledge to current business and industry standards.

Important Information:

Student Organization:

Professional Business Leaders (PBL)

PBL is an organization which prepares business students to succeed in the business workforce through the advancement of leadership, citizenship, academic and technological skills. Involvement as an active PBL member will be one of the most rewarding aspects of your training as a student. Through this involvement, lasting relationships will be developed with the community business circles and members will be given exposure to potential new employers. Opportunities for having fun, visiting new and exciting places, experiencing new activities, and growing both personally and professionally is what PBL is all about.

Future Business Leaders of America-Phi Beta Lambda is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) education association with a quarter million students preparing for careers in business and business-related fields. The association has four divisions:
  1. Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) for high school students;
  2. FBLA-Middle Level for junior high, middle, and intermediate school students;
  3. Phi Beta Lambda (PBL) for postsecondary students; and
  4. Professional Division for businesspeople, FBLA-PBL alumni, educators, and parents who support the goals of the association.

FBLA-PBL is headquartered in Reston, Virginia, and organized on local, state, and national levels. Business teachers, advisers, and advisory councils (including school officials, businesspeople, and community representatives) guide local chapters. State advisers and committee members coordinate chapter activities for the national organization.

The national board of directors is comprised of local teachers, state educators, business leaders, and the division presidents.
