The Certified Nurse Aide course emphasizes basic principles of direct nursing care. The students will gain knowledge of nursing care in the skills lab and in clinical practice performed at a local long-term healthcare facility. Upon successful completion of the course, students are eligible for KDHE certification to become a KS certified nurse aide. (Prerequisite: must pass reading comprehension test by Division of Health personnel).
