( MTE 211 ) Basic Mill and Lathe Programming

The students will choose appropriate tooling, use correct “G” & “M” codes, generate setup sheets and calculate feeds and speeds for mills and lathes. They will translate the assigned blueprints into computer numerical controlled programs. This course is a prerequisite to MTE 212 Computerized Machine Operation, MTE 231 Advanced Mill and Computer Measurement Programming and MTE 232 Advanced Lathe Programming
