CPD226 SQL Database Concepts, Design & Application

3 Credit Hours

Students learn how to create and maintain database objects in CPD 226 and how to store, retrieve, and manipulate the data. Students also create SQL blocks of application code that will be shared by multiple forms, reports, and data management in many different applications. Students learn many different types of query development using aggregate functions, sorting options, subqueries, grouping, having, nulls, joins, set operations, views, indexes, and security. Students learn how to apply this to high-end databases like MYSQL, Oracle and SQL Server and to incorporate SQL into computer programs. PREREQUISITE: CPD 122 Program Logic & Design with Alice 3D; CPD 210 Access Database Concepts, Design, & Applications
